Plot
Two British hitmen are sent the Bruges, Belgium to hide out. The movie shows their adventures with the townspeople, and eventually with their boss.

Review
This is an uneven movie with some excellent acting, some beautiful pictures and some interesting plot, unfortunately this alternates with some dull dialog and sleepy pacing. I did not find Ray, the Collin Farrell character, very realistic, very interesting or very likable. Brendan Gleeson (Ken) was good, and Ralph Fiennes, who played the boss, was masterful.

A sophomoric flick that tries to be commercial and still be cool and indie. It forgets that good indie movies mean something, and the meaning here is nothing more than it is not good to murder your friends, which everyone knows already.

Plot
This is a comedy about making a movie in Vietnam. During the story the actors actually get captured by a drug lord, and they have to fight there way out. There is intense satire about the movie industry, along with movie-in-the-movie scenes.

Review
It starts with wonderful fake movie trailers and ends with Tom Cruise dancing in a fat suit. The whole movie is over-the-top, and very fun. The funnest movie of 2008 so far. This is one of the bloodiest and grossest movies I've seen, but it is done in a comic way. Squeemish people might stay away -- my wife almost walked out. This movie is mostly about laughs and the satire does not have any higher social purpose. Stiller, Downey, Black and Cruise are all excellent. Some of the Jack Black drug withdraw scenes would be classics, if they weren't so tasteless. Very funny though.
